Verified activity refers to physical activity data that is automatically synced to a User Account from a connected app, device, or integration, such as Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Health, or Strava. If you want to run a challenge that captures verified activity only, you can edit a challenge to remove self-reported entries.
To capture verified activity only, disable Manual Entry and the Physical Activity Log in the challenge configuration. Go to Programs > Wellness Challenges and select the Edit icon under the Actions column on the same row of the challenge you would like to modify. Scroll to Challenge Features and toggle the Manual Entry and Physical Activity Log pill boxes off. Each pill box will turn gray when disabled. Select Update at the bottom of the page to save changes. Check out this article to learn more about the impact of enabling and disabling Manual Entry and Physical Activity Log.
Please be advised of the following limitations:
Manual Entry – Turning off Manual Entry means Users will not be able to earn Wellable Points for time-based activities, such as yoga or weightlifting, that are logged on their device. Users will only be able to earn Wellable Points for steps and distance.
Physical Activity Log – Turning off the Physical Activity Log means Users without a connected app or device will not be able to participate in the challenge.
Turning off both Manual Entry and the Physical Activity Log ensures that all tracked activity is verified and comes from connected devices or integrations, giving you more reliable, though more limited, participation data.
As a best practice, if Physical Activity Log is turned on, Manual Entry should be as well. The opposite (Manual Entry on but Physical Activity Log off) is acceptable if you want all data to sync for a connected app.
