The PWA is Wellable’s modern, holistic answer to the Health Risk Assessment (HRA). Unlike HRAs, which often focus narrowly on medical risks and rely on self-reported data that can be inaccurate or intrusive, the PWA offers a more inclusive and engaging way to evaluate overall well-being.
The PWA explores an employee’s lifestyle across eight dimensions of well-being: (i) physical, (ii) emotional, (iii) financial, (iv) social, (v) occupational, (vi) spiritual, (vii) intellectual, and (viii) environmental. This framework acknowledges the many factors that influence health, including social determinants such as income, education, and access to care.
Based on their responses, employees receive tailored educational content and feedback on ways to improve their health in associated dimension. Utilizing the PWA is a great way to allow Users to understand their personal health and well-being and set individual goals.
Wellable updates the PWA every two years to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the latest best practices in health and well-being. Its foundational structure remains consistent over time to allow for meaningful year-over-year comparisons, but questions are periodically refined to reflect new guidelines, emerging risk factors, and evolving wellness priorities.
Employers receive access to aggregated, de-identified responses, which can help them make smarter, more informed decisions about their wellness programming and meet the specific needs of their population. Individualized user data from the PWA cannot be accessed by program administrators. Only authorized individuals (certain developers, support staff, etc.) will be able to access user-level data. Deidentified, aggregate data for all users in a Company can be viewed in the Personal Wellness Assessment Dashboard (only available when there are 10 or more PWA submissions).
When you add the PWA to your program, the latest version will be created as a challenge in your Admin Account. Throughout the platform, you will see the latest version referred to as the “Personal Wellness Assessment”. You will also see previous versions of the Personal Wellness Assessment designated with the year they were published. For example, “Personal Wellness Assessment (2020)” will refer to the PWA released in 2020.
