Special Activity is a fully customizable menu that allows organizations to incorporate any activity or event into their wellness challenge or program. For example, Special Activities can be used to award Wellable Points to participants that attend onsite events, such as fitness classes, seminars, or health fairs; clinical events, such as flu shots or annual physicals; and social events, such as a participant sharing a photo of a healthy activity or taking a walk with a colleague. Any number of Wellable Points can be assigned to a Special Activity. Each Special Activity can either be logged once per day or once per challenge. See Adding Special Activities for details on incorporating Special Activities into your challenge.
Once Per Day
These are Special Activities that a participant can log once per day to earn Wellable Points. To create a Special Activity that can be logged once per day, all you will need is the name of the Special Activity and the number of Wellable Points you want to award when this activity is completed. Participants will log these Special Activities via the Special Activity feature on the Dashboard of their User Account. There is a maximum of 50 Special Activities that can be created in this category for a single challenge.
Once Per Challenge
These are Special Activities that a participant can log once per challenge to earn Wellable Points. These Special Activities are assigned a Verification Code, which is a 5-digit numerical code that is required to log the Special Activity. Participants will need the Verification Code in order to earn Wellable Points for the activity, so determining how they will receive this unique code is important (e.g., a presenter provides the code after a seminar, etc.). Participants will log these Special Activities via the Special Activity feature on the Dashboard of their User Account. There is a maximum of 50 Special Activities that can be created in this category for a single challenge.
If using the Special Activities built into the programs in the Challenge Library, participants will not need a Verification Code to log the Special Activities. In some cases, the Special Activities will automatically be logged once an activity is complete, and in other cases, participants will attest to completing the activity. Nevertheless, you will not need to determine how a Verification Code will be distributed for challenges in the Challenge Library, which is another reason using these turnkey challenges, are so beneficial.
Uploading Special Activities
You will also have the ability to upload completed Special Activities in bulk through your Admin Account, adding Wellable Points to User Accounts. This option may be preferable relative to a Verification Code because it does not require Users to take any action to earn Wellable Points for the activity and prevents them from sharing the code with other Users. For example, rather than using a Verification Code, an attendance sheet from a seminar could be used to upload Special Activities, awarding Wellable Points to everyone who attended the seminar.
