Email is a set of features under Communications that allows you to schedule/send emails to challenge participants. The Email page includes a table that provides a snapshot of all emails created with the following information.
Email Name is what you will use to identify the email in your Admin Account and will only be seen by you or other authorized administrators with an Admin Account. Since email will be your primary mode of push communications to participants, expect to create a number of emails, which is why it will be important to create an Email Name that is informative (e.g., “Best Challenge Ever – Week 4 Update”), recognizable for you at a glance, and easily searchable.
Every email is associated with a specific challenge, and the Challenge column of the table identifies which challenge an email is associated with.
Last Sent identifies when an email was sent. If an email is still in draft form (i.e., it has not been scheduled or sent out yet), Last Sent will reflect the last time the email was saved down. If Last Sent shows a date and time in the future, this means that the email has been scheduled to be sent out at the date and time indicated. For emails that have been scheduled, the Status for the email will also be labeled Scheduled.
Sent indicates the number of recipients who were sent the email. For an Onboarding Email, the number will be cumulative (i.e., it will reflect every version of the email that has been sent), which means that the total number of emails sent may be higher than the total number of Users for the respective challenge because Users may no longer be a part of your organization.
Delivered indicates the number of emails that were successfully delivered. This number may be less than the total number of emails sent.
Opened indicates the open rate for the email and only reflects data up to 60 days after the email is sent. The open rate is the percentage of delivered emails that Wellable can verify have been opened by recipients of the email. To verify an email has been opened, Wellable loads a tiny, transparent image into each email and counts how often the image is loaded among the delivered emails. The image is invisible to recipients. A User may open an email, but if the image is not downloaded, Wellable will not mark the email as opened, which means that the open rate may be lower than the actual percentage opened.
Clicked indicates the click rate for the email and only reflects data up to 60 days after the email is sent. The click rate is the percentage of delivered emails that a recipient clicked at least one link.
Status will be labeled as and indicate one of the following.
Draft – This is an email that has been saved down but not sent or scheduled to be sent.
Scheduled – This is an email that has been scheduled to be sent in the future. Once the email is sent, it will be labeled as Sent for Status.
Processing – This is an email that is currently being processed to be sent. After all emails have bee sent, the Status will change to Sent.
Sent – This is an email that has been sent to the designated Users in your program.
Onboarding – This is an email that will automatically be sent to new User Accounts created for the designated challenge. Each challenge can only have one Onboarding Email.
