Wellable Points can be earned for tracking physical activity through steps or distance traveled from walking, running, or cycling as well as for various fitness activities including, but not limited to, yoga, aerobics, or weightlifting. For logging non-step or distance activities, Wellable advises Users to only do so after completing 30+ minutes of the fitness activity. Users can track physical activity via an app or device that integrates with Wellable or through manual entry via the Physical Activity feature in their User Account.
Tracking With A Connected App Or Device
Review the full list of Wellable partner apps to find out which partner apps track physical activity. To include physical activity tracking as part of a challenge, all apps that track physical activity (or the specific type of physical activity, such as steps) should be turned on when creating or editing the appropriate challenge.
Some devices and mobile apps allow for the tracking of non-step and non-distance based activity (e.g., cycling, yoga, weightlifting). Each non-step and non-distance based activity will be awarded the number of Wellable Points that have been assigned to Facility Check-In in the challenge configuration.
If not using an app or wearable device to track a specific activity, users can add activity directly in certain apps. If Manual Entry is enabled for a challenge, physical activities that are manually entered in an app will be awarded Wellable Points based on the challenge configuration. Mobile apps that are capable of syncing manually entered activity data to a user's account include Fitbit, Garmin, Health Mate, MapMyFitness, Runkeeper, Samsung Health, and Strava.
Users can also “check-in” to healthy venues like fitness studios and gyms via the Swarm app (formerly known as Foursquare). The Swarm app uses geolocation-based tracking to verify a User is at a certain location, such as a yoga studio or gym.
Tracking Without A Connected App Or Device
The Activity Log feature allows participants to earn Wellable Points (without connecting an app or device) for all types of physical activities, including steps- and distance-based activities as well as fitness activities that are not appropriately measured by steps or distance (facility check-in activities). Participants can manually log physical activities from a pre-established dropdown menu designated as Physical Activity at the top of the Dashboard in a User Account. This menu includes aerobics, baseball/softball, basketball, climbing, cycling, dancing, elliptical, hiking, martial arts, other sports and activities, rowing, running, skating, skiing, spinning, stretching and flexibility, swimming, walking (distance), walking (steps), weight lifting, and yoga. Assign Wellable Points for non-steps- and distance-based activities available in the Physical Activity dropdown menu via the Facility Check-In option under Physical Activity in the challenge configuration.
